THAT SIDE OF AFRICA THEY WILL NEVER SHOW YOU

Africa is the second largest continent on earth and home to over a billion people who mostly belong to the Negroid race. It is the birthplace of civilization and the origin of modern humans (Homo Sapiens evolved from an extinct genus of hominids called Australopithecus that were first found in East Africa). The international media won't give prominence to all these facts, instead, they derive pleasure in creating a negative impression in the minds of non-Africans (especially those who haven't been there) by constantly reporting about war, famine and corruption or how we all wallow in abject poverty. The continent has always been the subject of propaganda from international community and the rationale for this is not far-fetched. They tend to brainwash people with degrading stories about Africa and the idea that the Aryan race (a sub-race of Caucasoid) is superior to the Negroid race, hence the racial discrimination that is widespread in the world today. But in order no to digress, the race debate will be a blog post for another day.

I have always been and will continue to be highly critical of the leadership deficiency in our sociopolitical structures, which is the mainspring of all the other problems that are abound in Africa. My previous blog posts say a lot about my intolerance and concern for the depravity in my motherland. However, the pace of economic development might be retarded, corruption might be pervasive, religious tension and political instability might also be lingering around most African societies but these issues are often exaggerated, besides they don't only exist in Africa! This one-sided portrayal of Africa is so bad to the extent that those who haven't graced that part of the world would think we are nothing but banana-eating monkeys who jump from tree to tree or half-naked, dark-skinned beings with a flesh-deprived body inhabiting in poverty-stricken and war-ravaged communities. There might be many African immigrants or refugees in Europe and America who are looking for greener pastures due to the economic downturn or political tensions in their countries, most of them will tell you the grass is not always greener on the other side and even if it is, there is still no place like home.
THEY WILL ONLY SHOW YOU THIS

AND THIS.....

BUT WON'T SHOW YOU THIS
AND THIS...

There is a side of Africa they don't show! The side that glorifies the rich African culture and tradition. The side that exudes the geniality of Africans and the warmth that resides in our nature. The side that projects the beautiful landscapes and exquisite historic architectures in our geographies and across all regions. The side that shows we are not cave-dwelling animals with tails but upright humans with high intellectual capacity and a penchant for hard work. The side that shows how elegant and fashionable we can be with our radiant and polychromatic native attires. The side that shows the enviable beauty in our highly-principled females and the admirable virility in our good-looking males. The side that shows how appealing our numerous African languages and dialects sound to the ears. In order to correct this negative perception in my own little way, I have decided to collate several pictures that will intimate the public with that side of Africa they will never show... Enjoy!
